Maja is one of our skilled and experienced Reportability users, and she has shared her personal journey and her experience using Reportability with us. Here is a brief summary of our conversation with Maja from Allround Bogføring.
Maja has run her own business, Allround Bogføring, since 2006, where she specializes in helping small and medium-sized enterprises with their administration, VAT returns, payroll reporting, and annual accounts.
Before that, however, she completed a degree in accounting and worked as an audit assistant for 8 years. Later, she pursued further education and became a public administration specialist. She used this background at Aarhus County, where she worked as an administrative officer for 3 different institutions.
From public administration to self-employment
With her solid background in auditing, accounting, and administration, Maja gained such a wide range of skills and professional expertise that she was able to provide professional services to potential clients.
And with an ever-growing desire to be self-employed, it was almost written in the stars that Maja would start Allround Bogføring. She took the leap and has been helping her clients since 2006, initially based in Randers, and since 2018, based in Bjerringbro.
Final accounts were sent to the auditor or prepared using a trial balance
In the beginning, Maja handled most final account tasks by collaborating with an auditor. If she prepared the final accounts herself, they were based on a trial balance from the bookkeeping system. However, she faced a challenge when some of her clients' banks began requiring more formal financial statements.
Maja then began looking for other solutions, and it was in 2019 that she discovered Reportability.
"The tool sets things up so nicely, and it's faster because the tool handles many of the tasks automatically. It's great to have less manual work and not have to do much data entry in Reportability's system," says Maja.
Automating tasks and getting professional support

This made it easier for Maja to handle various tasks without negatively impacting her finances. Maja adds that the automated process is also a significant advantage for her.
"The fact that the tool pulls in the bookkeeping data itself and handles the mapping for me saves me both time and human data entry errors. Besides that, I'm also happy with Reportability's hotline. I have always received good help, and it's easy to understand."

After adopting Reportability, Maja has experienced significant time savings when it comes to annual accounts. Previously, it could take her up to 2–3 hours to prepare a single set of annual accounts, but with the process tool, she now spends a maximum of one hour on the task.
